I have had the opportunity to get to know Naomi Riess through her work in Southwest Colorado and through her campaign for House District 59. Having run for Congress myself, and now serving as Colorado GOP Secretary and as a candidate for House District 57, I understand the commitment, preparation, and persistence it takes to step forward and serve.

Naomi brings a strong combination of professional experience, community involvement, and a deep understanding of the people and issues that shape rural Colorado. She has spent decades working with land use, local planning, agriculture, education, and community organizations, giving her a practical perspective on how decisions made at the Capitol affect families, businesses, and local governments.

I have also been impressed by Naomi’s willingness to listen, do the homework, and stay engaged with voters throughout the district. Campaigning across a large rural district requires discipline, organization, and the ability to build relationships over time, and Naomi has demonstrated those qualities throughout this race.

Colorado needs legislators who understand rural communities, can maintain strong relationships with the people they represent, and are willing to work persistently to move important projects and policies forward. Naomi has shown that she understands that responsibility and is prepared to take it on.
