I have known and worked with Naomi Riess since the 1990s. We first worked together on a subdivision project, where I handled the surveying and Naomi handled the land-use approvals. Since then, we have worked together on many projects throughout La Plata County.

Land and development work can get complicated quickly. It takes someone who understands the rules, pays attention to the details, communicates clearly, and follows through. Naomi has always done that.

In all the years I have worked with her, Naomi has been thorough, prompt, professional, and dependable. She does her homework and works well with property owners, surveyors, engineers, county staff, and everyone else involved in the process.

Naomi understands land-use issues, private property rights, water, agriculture, and the challenges that come with growth and regulation. More importantly, she understands how these issues affect real people trying to make a living, improve their property, or move a project forward.

I know Naomi to be practical, hardworking, and honest. She listens, asks the right questions, and looks for solutions instead of making things more complicated.

That kind of experience and common sense would be valuable at the State Capitol. I support Naomi Riess for Colorado House District 59.
