I am proud to endorse Naomi Riess for Colorado House District 59.

After having the opportunity to visit with Naomi, I came away encouraged by her understanding of the challenges facing Colorado families, small businesses, property owners, and local communities. Naomi is thoughtful, grounded, and committed to the kind of public service that puts citizens first.

Throughout my own service, first in the United States Army, then in local government, on the school board, as an Elbert County Commissioner, and now as a State Representative, I have learned that good government starts with listening. It requires discipline, accountability, respect for local decision-making, and a firm belief that government should not reach beyond its proper role.

Naomi shares those values.

Colorado needs legislators who will defend constitutional principles, respect the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights, protect property rights, oppose unfunded mandates, and push back when state government tries to solve every problem with more spending, more regulation, and less local control. Naomi understands that many of the best solutions come from families, communities, local leaders, small businesses, farmers, ranchers, and the people closest to the issue.

House District 59 deserves a representative who will listen carefully, work hard, and stand firm for individual freedom, responsible government, and the people of Southwest Colorado. I believe Naomi Riess will do exactly that.
