Suckla Endorses Naomi Riess for HD 59 | Riess for Colorado

August 28, 2026

As the current state representative for neighboring House District 58, I know how important it is to elect leaders who understand the unique needs of rural Colorado. That’s why I proudly support Naomi Riess for Colorado House District 59.

Naomi brings decades of experience as a small-business owner, land-use planning professional, and dedicated community volunteer. She understands that Southwest Colorado’s future depends on a strong economy, thriving small businesses, a vibrant agricultural community, and responsible stewardship of our natural resources.

Naomi will be a strong advocate for protecting private property rights, defending Colorado’s water rights, supporting school choice, preserving multiple-use access to our public lands, and reducing unnecessary government regulation that burdens families, farmers, ranchers, and businesses.

What sets Naomi apart is her practical, common-sense approach to leadership. She listens to people, works collaboratively to solve problems, and is guided by the rural values that have long defined our communities – integrity, self-reliance, and looking out for our neighbors. She understands the values that make the Western Slope such a special place to live and work, and knows our communities grow the food, produce the energy, and support the industries that keep Colorado moving.

House District 59 deserves a representative who will put rural Colorado first. I am confident Naomi Riess will be that leader, and I encourage voters to support her for the Colorado House.

Rep. Larry Don Suckla, Colorado House District 58
